Menstruation is a natural and inevitable part of a woman’s life. For centuries, women have relied on disposable sanitary products like pads and tampons to manage their menstrual flow. However, here are the reasons why every woman should consider using menstrual cups.
- Since the cup is inserted in the vagina it does not cause rashes as regular sanitary pads do.

- One cup can last you for up to 10 years helping you save on the monthly expenditure on pads/tampons.

My Experience- Sirona Reusable Menstrual Cup Review- Small Size
Packaging
The Sirona menstrual cup typically comes packaged in a compact and discreet manner, and usually packaged in a small box along with an eco-friendly pouch. The packaging is designed to be compact and easily portable, allowing for convenient storage and carrying. It includes an instruction manual or usage guide which provides step-by-step instructions on how to correctly insert, remove, clean, and maintain the menstrual cup.
Sirona offers different sizes of menstrual cups like Small, Medium, and Large. Choosing the right size is important for comfort and leakage prevention.
As I don’t get heavy flow, so I bought small size of Sirona menstrual cup as it is easy to insert and in accordance with my size and its translucent in color.
Experience
The main reason I switched from pads to menstrual cup is that it is eco-friendly and cost effective. When I used it, I didn’t even feel wearing it, as there was no discomfort or rashes, friction etc. while wearing it. I was so happy that I finally doesn’t feel like in hell during my periods, specially during 3-4 day of periods when there is when flow is light and wearing pads make you uncomfortable, but you still have to go on with them. Best thing, you don’t have to go again and again to change the pads as you can keep the menstrual cup for longer period of time.
Sirona menstrual cup is comfortable to wear once you become accustomed to using it because its soft and flexible medical-grade silicone material allows for easy insertion and a secure fit. The cup forms a seal with the vaginal walls, providing reliable protection against leaks when properly inserted and positioned.
While it may take some practice to get used to inserting and removing the cup, but eventually, you will find it easy to use once you become familiar with the process. The provided instructions guide user on how to insert the menstrual cup, folding methods, and how to break the seal for removal.
Capacity
I also appreciate the Sirona menstrual cup’s capacity to hold a significant amount of menstrual fluid, allowing for longer wear time without the need for frequent emptying. If you have heavy flow, you might take the same time as you would as in pads case, but second time, you will know when to empty the cup.
The cup is designed to be reusable for several years with proper care (up to 8-10 years or sooner if you feel it is damaged).
I normally have light flow on first day, heavy on 2nd day and super light on 3rd and 4the day, so I empty the cup after 6-7 hours.
How to maintain Sirona Menstrual Cup
